Movies to see

Well; i just got home from a movie date with my friend Crystal; since Amanda cancled cause she was grounded and we went to see.. Cloverfield, and i have to say, it is and WAS worth the 9 dollars to get in, i mean it was just a great movie. I recomend you see this movie IN THEATERS; on DVD it will suck, you need the big screen to really love it.


On Friday; alone i went to see.. Meet the Spartans; it was funny but very dumb. If you have the money to spare; go see it, but if not, just buy it used on DVD, or rent it ondemand on your cable box/ netflix/ blockbuster whatever.

Well well :P

It seems a scammer thought he had the better part of me; but me in my carefull ways, tested him. He said he would trade first, and he did; the nice guy even had the courage to accept the trade, leaving him open to BE scammed. But oh oh, how does he scam? He accepts, then you do what you need to do for him to get, then you accept and get the items in his trade. Me? I didnt buy it, i wanted to be SURE i wasnt beeing scammed, so i accepted his trade, then was going to switch over and accept the other trade. But... Oddly enough, when i accepted the trade, it ABORTED; we tried this several times, he pretended to not know why it was happening. So if i indeed, accepted the trade on the other before accepting it in EO, i would have been screwed. :P

Just a warning to those who buy an sell accounts, and items on other games. Make sure the EO trade is completed first.

News news news (part 2)

Well, it does seem that Medusa and Amytheevil have stoped (not fully, but no longer on overdrive) with Endless Online Main Server. It seems that Medusa and Amytheevil now play another server of EO (I will not disclose any info on this server). And it seems Med and Amy will play dominatly there for a while (weather or not she will be there perminately, i do not know). But at this point in time, it does not seem really cares that she is no longer number 1 on EO; i think she just wants to relax, and i think she diserves it.

News news news..

Well; its offical, Medusa is now #2 player in EO again, this time underneith Marlina. This is only the 2nd time i can recall Medusa losing her #1 spot since i started in v.14. The first time of course was when Debstar took the place and later deleted herself after some drama with Berdy and EO. Either way, Medusa claimed her spot before Debstar was deleted, so how long will she remain in 2nd place now? I have noticed lately she hasnt taken training as seriously, so this might be a sign that she might be starting to cool down and have a little more fun in eo. This of course is my opinion and may or may not be true; ill update more as i learn more.

Terror? Rexor? Vult? New admins?

As per ussual, I'm one of the last to find out due to me not paying attention to MSN enough, or the sheer fact of Rexor not replying to me on MSN on friday.

(Breif Summery of Avamay's blog) Vult is no longer employed IRL, so will focus on EO more, so alot of problems in EO right now (speeding, dcing, etc) will be fixed, and is currently considering new Admins for EO, and clearing some old inactive ones (Sakura, Laine: Both have not logged in for over 20 weeks) So she stated, if new admins are chosen, they will not be "kids", and will be chosen by Vult and Aengie, and probably a Team descision for all the admins; So i think the age of the players(?) will be ages 15-16+, i think this would be the started age, because Most teens that age are normaly on, dont have jobs, and because Laine was 15 when she was hired, along with Chaos being 16.

Now, i said "players(?)" because, it Sakurakur and Mizzy were not players of Endless Online when chosen, Vult-R posted an add on devient Art for artists, which he might do again. Sakurakur was chosen, then Mizzy found out on dA and asked vult to join too, and he let her; which is why Sakura and Mizzy never got along (Sakurakur told me this).

Now, who will it be? Probably someone a little older (15+) and has been around for a while; or like i said, outsorced from another website. I for one, dont know, but i can come up with a list of some people who I think would probably do a good job at it:


Nezlo: Always cool headed, and helpfull
Wickedfrost: Not as a full admin, but some powers. He does have some issues with cheaters that i would call.. questionable.
Avamay: Always kind to players, helpfull when she can, and knows EO well.
Gate: Quite possibly the oldest person on EO that i know, knows EO well, helpfull to people, and good understanding of the game.
Eeer: Knows EO very well, very logcial, and is well liked and known by most of EO.


That is nearly all i could think of at this moment, feel free to comment any other ideas to this post. :)

Oh, and like Nezlo i didnt add my own name to the list because im sure i would not be picked, and i know people would complain of me putting my own name on the list, etc etc. So, unless i get recomended by a comment, i wont put my name up.


As a sidenote: As of vult no longer employed, I wonder what other reprocussions will happen to EO; no job = no money to pay for the server.

Reminiescence

With no real news to report (Aside from Medusa almost out of her #1 spot), i found myself thinking of the old days of EO. Before levels, HP, Stats, and everything. And it makes me think, What direction is EO going in? In the old days, before any of this, and maybe as few ago as v.24 or v.25. When there were really indivuduals between people, because it didnt matter WHAT you wore. Now almost everyone wears the same things, the NEW things that come out, or just new items, to look "cool". When i strongly feel, the best pixeled armor in the game is Dragon Armor, just because of the great detail it has. I see some people who dont conform to the "stat whore" outfits, and i condone them for that feat. I will admit that i wear Oron sometimes for its stats, but that is only when i go to places where i really need it. Most of the time you'll see me in a Royal Suit or something, cause i LIKE the outfit. Why dont people wear what they like, insted they wear what makes them strong. and i think thats a shame. I miss the old days when people tried to be individuals. Oh well; days past i guess.

Well..

I felt i needed to really post, insted of just updating the map. ill make a EO walkthough guide eventually and it will be included, and soon ill put a hotlink to its direct post on the side bar over there --->

Well, anyway as i was saying, i felt i needed to really post. No real news going on EO right now with it being back up. No real advice at the moment.. aside what i said in previous posts, you can always refer to that.


Anyway, as always, im looking for reporters to help make this blog better, more reporters = more things i can post. :) I'm also looking for "idea men" of what i could add to the blog in gernal to make it better, opinions and critisizms, ect. And i guess this is all i have for now, I'll keep updating the map (post right before this one). And have a nice day. Ill post again with news, advice, and updates :)

EO is now back up, i am unsure how stable the server is, or if there were any updates, but you can now log in.

EO down still

Well, the title of this article sums up what is going on in EO today, so I'll Give what little info i can.
The reason I do NOT think Vult-r has suffered another fine, is because he would shut down the EO forums, the EO website, and his own personal website (http://www.vult-r.com/) before he would let EO shut off, he would strech the exposable bandwidth. So this is why i think EO is down due to other issues (Maybe update: not v.29, but just glitches maybe spamming. Or Speeding and Spamming have caused EO to glitch and shut down until vult resets it, he said a few weeks ago that he was doing updates, and rebooted, maybe this is the same, and its a more signifigant update)

Another issue that would have accored, is a power outage at Layer tech in which case, Vult will get us up and running as soon as he can (which im sure he would anyway) My guess it is currently a combination of hardware/ software error caused by the small server updates a week or so ago that vult did, and he will figure out the issue shortly. The reason for me beleiving this is because if it was stricktly hardware, the test server would be affected as well, and it isnt.

Now, some advice to think over whilst you wait for EO to come back online:

Need gold?: Gold, the blood of EO, either you have more than you can use, or more likely have a great need for it. Now, let me specisfy, most people WANT gold, just to have, these are the people I won't really help, because they dont need it. But some of those do need gold for 1 reason for another, now i know weather you want it or need it, you'll use this way to make gold, so oh well. Fastest way i found to make gold, is if you see a monster, kill it, and take what it has to offer. If its useless, give it away to someone less fortunate (AKA: give a cava to a new player), just to spread a little love. But once you do this, you'll get things that people do want, or at least the witch would want. Don't get me wrong, some things are 100% useless right now (Monster flesh, Aqua things, Metal parts, Robot Chains (i wasnt refering to the weapon), flies, Twekus tenticals (Refering to the items droped in the lvl 4 doungen), ect) But doesnt make them not needed, you never know when someone might hold a ligit event that would require the gathering of one of these items, so its better safe than sorry that you didnt pick it up. I personally camp the bonespider so i can sell Dark Endura's for 40k about, and make some money, other things you can do is camp Tenbas and gather bags, and exp (Train and get money at once? Who woulda thunk it?) Those are just some tips. For lower levels, stick to trying to gather small items you can get and craft large items that people would buy (Royal potions, ice sword, ect).
This is a guide for the fastest way to make money, as far as items that i used for examples, their is no real signifigant profit to be made with them.

I want a Scav!: Do not buy a scav right now. Not unless someone is selling for 200-250k. It is basic economics, they will sell for whatever people are buying for: AKA: No one buy for 350-400k, and they wont sell for that high. Or of course gather the items, get a Ancient Wraith Key from the quest, and kill Ancient Wraiths. (About as much HP as a king, and does 20-99 damg rapidly) Oh, and they are invisible, so good luck with that. Your best bet is to wait for the buyers to get too fed of with waiting to sell for 400k, they will drop their price. little bit at a time. And Scav isnt all that great, it's looks are so-so, and its atk is only 2-2, so its a little better, but not worth the 390k increase from a normal bow. So thats a little advice, take it or leave it.


What do i do when EO is down?: Go on test.endless-online.com and play EO there if you are so addicted, just change your EOclient IP to test.endless-online.com or download a test client (Do not install to your Endless folder and erase your main server one, make another folder inside your endless folder, and install there) <-- This way, you have both servers on your computer, and dont need to do any of that switching hassle.


I'm walled!!!!: If you're walled, its for good reason, you'll get out when an admin feels like releasing you. You have been told not to speed, it is agains EO's ToS, so i have no sympathy for you. You'll be released, and lets hope you learned your lesson. Im sure many of people have told you not to speed, and you maybe (not everyone) laughed at them, and just speed off. Feel silly now? Just deserts as its called. The harder the punishment, the more than likely it will sink into your heads, so deal with it, serve your time, and learn your lesson, and dont spam global.


Spammers: If someone wil the name "WWWWWW" walks up to you, put them on ignore right away, dont wait for them to spam. And, if someone comes up to the area where you are, sits down, and does nothing, and you start DCing, put the person on ignore, and turn off your PMs. This should help, just be wary of global, it is safe sometimes, so dont give up on it entirely.

Welcome!

Hello, I am Linkfan, and welcome to Link's Word. A new blog to try and spread a little word and opinion about Endless Online.

First order of business:

EO is Down?: Well, it is true, the Endless online Server is down currently, on the main server. I am unsure if it is on test ( UPDATE: It is confirmed that test is working. ). Most people are sharing rumors that EO is currently being wiped. I would have to disagree with this, As much as I would LOVE to see EO wiped at this point, it's just not whats going on. Chances are it is a problem with Layer Tech, or maybe some small updates (Hopefully to remove spamming).

Admins stoped caring?: No, this is completly false, if Vult stoped caring, he would stop spending the money to keep Endless Online up and running. Each admin has a life outside of EO, and we need to respect that., I see alot of people saying things like "EO nerds to get lives", which Admins have, but i notice the SAME people are the first to say that Admin's stoped caring, and need to play more. These are the people i try my best to educate or avoid, which is impossible 85% of the time. Each admin has a life, and let them live it, sure EO was made when the admins had more time on their hands, but keep in mind this was half a decade ago, and times change, and they have other things to tend to right now. Sakurakur is busy with collage, so is Laine. Vult, Arvid, Rexor, and Teror are busy working on another game (details not known yet). Aegnie plays, just plays on ALTS, she stated this a while ago on the EO forums, she plays on alts to help get a better feel for EO, and the things Vult needs to fix. Mizzy? I thought she quit being an admin, thats what it says on her website, so thats what i go by.

Oh noes, HSing?!: I have no clue why the term Hyper speeder exists. The term Speeder was used, then Super Speeder, and now Hyper speeder? THis doesnt make sence, they are SPEEDERS, no special words added. They can all go the same speed as every, just finding new ways to do so, so dont call it by any special names, making it seem new, when its not.


Oh noes (part 2), DCers?!: Now this is easy, you simply check your log files for their name, and put it on your ignore on your IGNORE WORD FILE found in your config of your endless online folder. This way you can type in those overly long names, by copy and paste from your log files. Sure its an inconvinience, but it is just something we need to live with until DCIng is fixed.
